Shrub roses are best grown as a species or used as hedging - some make impenetrable barriers.
Most shrub roses are fragrant, disease resistant and need little attention. They are a mixture of wild species, old garden roses from all over the world, plus hybrids developed over the last 100 years or so.
The approximate size to which each shrub grows is shown, although you can keep larger shrubs within bounds by prunning.
